TOYO Solar Manufacturing One Member PLC is a subsidiary of TOYO Co., Ltd., a Japanese solar solutions company. In October 2024, TOYO Solar signed a Memorandum of Understanding( MOU) with the Ethiopian Investment Commission to invest$ 60 million in establishing a 2- gigawatt( GW) solar cell manufacturing facility in Hawassa, Ethiopia. 
This facility is expected to produce approximately 15.5 million solar cells each month and create up to 880 jobs. Production is anticipated to commence by the end of the first quarter of 2025. The strategic position in Ethiopia allows TOYO Solar to benefit from duty-free access to the U.S. market, aligning with U.S. efforts to promote domestic manufacturing of clean energy. 

Position 1: Electrician 

Requirements 
 • Proven experience in electrical installation and machinery handling. 
 • Basic computer proficiency. 
 • Strong problem- solving skills and attention to detail. 

Key Responsibilities 
 • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and machinery. 
 • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues effectively. 
 • Utilize computer systems for reporting and specialized documentation.

Location Hawassa 

Position 2: Facility Technician 

Requirements 
 • Proficiency in electricity installation and  introductory computer usage. 
 • Knowledge of facility operations and management. 
 • Strong organizational and problem- solving skills.

Key Responsibilities 
 • Perform electrical installations and maintenance within the facility. 
 • Assist with facility management tasks, ensuring smooth operations. 
 • use computer systems for attestation and reporting.
