JSI is a public health organization dedicated to  perfecting the health of people and communities in more than 70 countries. Almost 40 years of global experience supports and informs JSI’s work in Ethiopia. Since 1994, JSI has worked in partnership with the government and original civil society organizations to support the Ethiopian government’s health and development priorities. JSI is working in all regions across Ethiopia, in civic as well as  pastoral areas though most projects reach the largest population groups by focusing on the four most vibrant regions. Operationally, JSI has the integrity of strong management systems, combined with the flexibility of a decentralized structure that meets clients’ and partners’ needs.   

Position HR Intern  

Qualification 

  • BA degree in Human Resources, LLB, Business Administration, or a related field with a accretive GPA of 3.6 and above 
  • Must have the willingness to work cooperatively with staff from different cultures 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite( Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Ability to handle  nonpublic information with discretion. 
  • Willingness to travel and work in the activity implementation regions 
  • willingness to learn of  colorful donor requirements and grant reporting 
  • Excellent networking and  cooperation-  structure chops 

Speaking of more than one original language is a plus. The HR Intern will provide  executive support to the Human Resources department, gaining exposure to  colorful HR functions and processes. This role offers a  precious opportunity to learn about HR practices and develop essential skills.  

Responsibilities 

  • Assist with recruitment processes, including scheduling interviews, and coordinating onboarding. 
  • Maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. 
  • Provide executive support for HR- related tasks,  similar as data entry, filing, and report generation. 
  • Assist in the organization and execution of employee orientation and training programs. 
  • Support employee relations activities, including answering inquiries and resolving issues. 
  • Participate in HR projects as assigned.
