Kelem International School  

The Swedish Community School in Addis Ababa is an academy with a Swedish profile. The Swedish School was innovated in 1946 and the School has more than 70 years of experience, delivering Swedish education in the English language in a foreign environment. Kelem International School (KIS) is the Former Swedish Community School invites qualified applicants for the ensuing position. Today the school offers Preschool, Primary and Lower Secondary and has around 150 children ranging from 3 to 14 years old. The Swedish Community School provides education in English in accordance with the Swedish Curriculum, LGR 11, for mandatory school.  

Kelem International School would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the ensuing position.  

Position: Admin Assistant

Internship for a temporary base employment)  

Qualification  

  • Education 1st degree in management or related field of study  
  • Requirement  Proven experience as an executive Assistant minimum 6 months suitable to comfortably communicate verbally and in Written English & Amharic  

Requirements and skills 

  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures 
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, e.g. printers, scanner and fax machines 
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular) 
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability tomulti-task  

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain an HR Documentation system 
  • Maintain documents, office files and records for compliance with original, state and civil education bureau standards and requirements. 
  • Prepare written materials i.e. reports, memos, letter, etc. 
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, communications and forms 
  • Update and maintain office policies and procedures 
  • Maintain stakeholders contact lists 
  • Provide general support to visitors 
  • Respond to a wide variety of calls, concerns and/ or complaints in order provide information and/ or refer to applicable  labor force. 
  • Support other personnel for the completion of their work activities. 
  • Handle all inquiries related to jobs by accepting their CVs and assist the HR manager with HR matters. 
  • Attend to all incoming phone calls and correspondences, ensuring that they're followed up with by the applicable individuals. 
  • Perform any other executive tasks. 

Working hours Monday – Thursday (730 am – 430 pm) and Fridays (from 730 am – 330 pm).
