World Vision Ethiopia began its first intervention in Ethiopia in 1971 with relief and opened the Ethiopia office in 1975. Relief, rehabilitation, and small community development projects dominated the decade that followed. During the 1984/85 drought, World Vision Ethiopia participated in a massive relief operation that saved the lives of millions of people.
Starting its operation with emergency intervention in some parts of Ethiopia, World Vision currently operates in 53 Area Programs (APs) implementing effective programs, similar as Education, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene( WASH), Nutrition, Emergency Response, Faith and Development, Food Security, Economic Development, Climate change, and environmental projects and other cross-cutting programs.
Position 1: Peace Building Project Manager
Job Description
• The project manager will provide the leadership to the peace-building activities underway in the Amhara, Tigray, and Benishangul region EU-funded Peace Building project implementation and monitoring.
• The job holder is fully responsible for the smooth, cost-effective, effective, and timely implementation of the project activities as per the implementation plan and allocated budget.
• Provide functional and executive support to project activities to secure design implementation as per agreed standards.
• Ensure stakeholders’ participation and involvement in peace-building activities for project success and sustainability.
• Facilitate the project initiatives geared towards reducing both intra and inter-community conflicts between the East, West Wollega, and Kamashi zone communities.
• Plan, manage, coordinate and follow- up the overall project implementation with the aim of achieving planned project goal.
Required professional experience
• Strong management and interpersonal skills Ability to network and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification.
• Minimum of MA in Peacebuilding, Development Studies, Sociology, International Relations, Conflict studies, or another related field.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
• Knowledge of peace structure and conflict transformation skills and concepts, knowledge of the original context of the project position.
• At least 5 years of field experience working with Communities in Peace- Building programming in an NGO context.
• Minimum of 2 years management experience.

Position 4: Health and Nutrition Coordinator
Required Professional Experience
• A minimum of 7 years of working experience in Health and Nutrition programs in a pastoral development context, three years of which were at a coordinator/ administrative level or original position.
• Demonstrated specialized leader in Ethiopia’s health and nutrition field with an established reputation for contributions in applicable forums, networks, and among USAID and its partners.
• Experience in assisting field research and experience working closely with research institutions.
• Strong interpersonal, networking, and coordination skills.

• BSC in Public Health/ Nutrition with 5- 7 years of experience in a pastoral setting.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
• BA or BSC in Rural Development, Development Studies, Agricultural Economics, Economics, Accounting, Management and related social fields of studies.
Required Professional Experience
• 3 – 5 Years of experience in food assistance/ food programs, and development-related fields.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
• Strong knowledge and working understanding of Emergency Food resource management;
• Experience and knowledge of USAID/ BHA funded emergency food assistance projects, Red Cross Code of Conduct, SPHERE Standard and HAP standard;
• Comprehensive experience on USAID/ BHA funded food program interventions( knowledge of WFP & WV commodity management policy) is mandatory
• Specialized knowledge & skill profitable particularly in LMMS, CCTS, JAM, CTP, environmental compliance, emergency safety & security;
