The under- five mortality rate has declined by two thirds significantly from the 1990 figure of,000 live births to,000 live births in 2019. Disaggregation of the mortality data by age reveals that the decline in neonatal mortality isn't as  emotional as the  child and child mortality  numbers. Save the Children has been contributing for this remarkable achievement for  further than two decades through designing and  enforcing  substantiation- grounded  systems that ameliorate Newborn and Child Health in the country. To further gauge  up  crucial lifesaving interventions for the reduction in child mortality and to ameliorate the status of  invigorated health, Save the Children will  apply an  invention  design tosupport identification and referral of low birth weight babies born at home and in the community to the formal health system. The Specialist will lead in the  perpetration of the  invigorated  exploration  design by effectively designing and developing  perpetration strategies and detailed  perpetration plans to  insure successful  perpetration of the airman  design across all health  installations in the airman area. The Specialist will  nearly work with and under the guidance from the Project Steering  platoon, Program Area Director, Operation Team, Senior Health Advisor, Sr. substantiation, Learning and Innovation Advisor and all the  public/  transnational Innovation Team. The Specialist will coordinate the design of  exploration protocol;  grease IRB  blessing, and will support  perpetration, monitoring and evaluation, and attestation of the interventions. KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

Technical Support and operation of Program perpetration With the support from the FOM and country office specialized  counsels  insure the effective and effective delivery and  operation of Newborn Health Project conditioning; Cover the  perpetration of NH  bottom length program interventions in the  perpetration woredas, health  installation and health post  position; Liaise with the  design steering  platoon with regard to design progress and  accommodations. Develop and timely submit work plans and budgets for Newborn Health Innovation Pilot Project conditioning Organize and  grease  exposure trainings and discussion forums with community influential members to produce  mindfulness of both the  result and its benefit and ameliorate acceptance at community position Support the develop of applicable training on the intervention and care of preterm and low birth weight babies applicable to the airman. Technically support Regional Child and Newborn health taskforce at RHB on neonatal health issues especially on preterm and low birth weight new- borns programs. Work with applicable RHB departments and directorates to  insure integration and regular reporting of applicable  pointers on child health program particularly  watch for preterm and low birth weight  infant in the DHIS2Ensure thatcross-cutting themes like gender,  securing and advocacy  rudiments are well integrated into the  design plans and  perpetration Lead on the medication of regular reports and  design final report on  invigorated health program progress and share and  circulate the report to applicable bodies for policy and advocacy. Monitoring, Evaluation, literacy and Knowledge participating In  discussion with Country TAs on Health and MEAL, unite with Regional University Team on the development of the  exploration protocol for the  invigorated health exploration Support in the development of the tool and coordinate data collection with University Team Serve as a  crucial  platoon member on specialized evaluation panels and  design steering  platoon for the exploration offer and tools. grease Regional Ethical concurrence to conduct the  invigorated  exploration grease trainings for Regional/ Zonal/ Woreda NCH Experts to orient on the tool and engage in the  perpetration grease trainings and  discussion meetings with HWs HEWs on the digital  result and its  perpetration grease data collection and oversee quality throughout the  exploration  perpetration process grease/ organize dispersion factory/  literacy platforms to partake the findings of the studies to inform scale up and  unborn  design design Regularly collect, assay, partake, validate, and  use applicable data on the  perpetration of the digital  result, progress on identification and referral of LBW babies and on  crucial NCH  pointers In collaboration with the Learning and KM  platoon, lead,  unite, and oversee the process of  establishing stylish practices in form of case studies, success stories, in addition to the routine daily,bi-annual and periodic reports. In collaboration with the Monitoring, Evaluation and literacy (MEL)  platoon  insure that data collected is accurate and valid and captures process and  outgrowth  pointers.

Representation, Networking and Advocacy nearly work with and contribute on the indigenous child survival taskforce and groups (installation and community grounded working groups). Represent SC in Regional Newborn and Child Health TWG meetings collaboration platforms and other events for purposes of  participating  literacy and strengthening collaboration and  cooperation on  invigorated health. grease effective  cooperation with stakeholders engaged in the  perpetration of  invigorated and child health program. Job Conditions  QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE  

• Master’s degree or over on public health  

• A health care professional (medical or nursing) with experience in MNH or pediatrics.  

• A minimum of 8 times’ experience in program designing, planning, monitoring, perpetration and evaluation of new born & child health programs both at community & installation position (especially on ICMNCI, IMNCI & CBNC, NICU, KMC, ENC andetc.)  

• substantial  exploration experience in development  surrounds, rather with solid exploration experience in health  wisdom,  

• Strong monitoring and exploration analysis chops in both quantitative and qualitative exploration styles  

• Experience at public position in the MOH or Regional Health divisions in the area of invigorated and child health, exploration and knowledge  operation (desirable).  

• Good knowledge and experience of the Ethiopian health systems and health policy  

• Experience in working with/ guiding public position specialized working groups, working with government  mates, with mate agencies.  

• Good skill in communicating, persuasion, organizing group discussion, and donation
