Position 1: WASH TEAM LEADER (2) for Shire and Miychew

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities  

ESSENTIAL 

  • University degree in engineering (similar to civil, and architecture who can lead specialized assessments and develop BoQs) or in public health/WaSH-related subject or environmental health science from a recognized academic institution. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in NGO settings. 
  • Demonstrated experience in leading WASH (PHP & PHE) projects in contexts involving IDPs, Returnees, and vulnerable affected host communities. 
  • Fluency in original language and English( written and verbal) 
  • Experience in Monitoring/ management of projects. 
  • Demonstrated skills in collaboration with internal/ external stakeholders.  
  • Strategic thinking,  visionary in anticipating problems, and open communication. 
  • Good provable understanding of WASH particularly public health engineering 
  • Purpose-driven, results-focused approach who takes responsibility for her/ his actions and holds us responsible. Suitable to travel to field locations up to 60.  

Experience in managing people (team) 

  • Self- mindfulness

Desirable 

  • Multi-sectoral project experiences  similar to FSL, gender, and protection together with WaSH 
  • Knows introductory business functions similar to logs and finance. 
  • Suitable for coaching other staff.

  • Good planning skills including flexibility and adaptability. 
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative.

Position 2: SENIOR GRANTS AND PARTNERSHIP OFFICER  

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities  

Essential 

  • Bachelor( BA) or Degree from a recognized university/ college in International Development, Business Administration, or other areas that bring an added value to the related job. 
  • Applicable experience of 2- 3 years in the same field, preferably in an international NGO   
  • expansive experience in Project Management cycle and tools, and contract management 
  • expansive knowledge and experience in managing multi-sectoral humanitarian and development programs, especially on WASH, food security, and livelihoods. 
  • Proven experience working with National and Original NGOs, and ability to create and maintain strong relationships with partners. 
  • A good understanding of organizational development issues. 
  • An understanding of gender and diversity considerations within key areas of responsibility and commitment to addressing inequalities in the workplace and the program. 
  • Knowledge of capacity building, learning and development activities, and how to create a learning and sharing environment with a strong knowledge management basis. 
  • Experience and advanced ability in different types of skill transfer, including training, workshops, mentoring, shadowing, and other innovative ways of building people’s capacity 
  • Excellent particular communication skills, in written and verbal English and Amharic, with high-impact influencing and conclusive skills. Suitable to use different approaches to achieve followership 
  • Competent in the use of computers and Microsoft, especially spreadsheets( Excel), accounting packages, word processing( Word), and PowerPoint. Competent in the use of email packages 
  • Flexibility in terms of travel and working hours.

Position 3: Senior Finance Officer (Rolling Based)  

SKILS, Experience, Knowledge & Competencies   

  • BA/ MBA in Accounting or any other related areas that can bring added value to the job from an honored university/college. 
  • Applicable 7 years of experience in financial management, out of which 2 years should be administrative/  directorial experience preferably in INGO. 
  • A professionally good finance manager, preferably with some experience in a large and/ or complex organization, and the ability to influence and support colleagues in appreciating the importance of fiscal standards, procedures, and controls. 
  • Effective verbal and spoken communication skills, including high-level interpersonal and emblematic abilities. 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. 
  • An understanding of gender and diversity considerations within crucial areas of responsibility and commitment to addressing inequalities in the workplace and the program.

Position 4: FINANCE OFFICER  

SKILS, Experience, Knowledge & Competencies

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years for BA holders or 6- 7 years for Diploma holders experience in finance and project fiscal management, preferably working 3 years of experience in an international NGO. 
  • Knowledge of and Eager to learn colorful accounting software with special emphasis on the Oxfam financial management system. 
  • Good command of computer skills (MS- word, MS- Excel) and other Internal software systems. 
  • High level of acquaintance comfort with internet-grounded research and electronic communications. 
  • Results-oriented with accuracy and strong attention to detail. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, sensitivity to artistic differences, and ability to work in a wide variety of artistic contexts.
