UNDP works in about 170 countries and territories, supporting partner countries to achieve the eradication of poverty, the reduction of inequalities, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). More specifically, UNDP supports partner countries in developing policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional abilities, and building resilience to sustain development results. UNDP has operated in Ethiopia since 1981. Since then, UNDP has focused on providing Ethiopia with strategic support to build public capacity and enhance the country’s development results in the areas of poverty reduction and advantageous growth, popular governance, as well as climate-flexible development.
Position Intern – Protocol And Logistics
Education Applicants must be enrolled (or have recently graduated from) a postgraduate degree programme (similar as a master’s programme, or advanced) OR have recently graduated with a first- level university degree in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, International Relations, or related field and must start the internship within one year of graduation.
Experience Applicants to the UN Internship Programme aren't required to have professional work experience. Still, a field of study that's closely related to the type of internship that you're applying for is required.
Availability to work full-time for six successive months.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other applicable software tools.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to adapt messages to colorful audiences.
Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities.
Ability to perform under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with different teams.
Language: Fluency in spoken and written English and Amharic.
