Wasasa Microfinance Vacancy  

Wasasa microfinance has been providing  fiscal services to the poor communities since the year 2000. The company is now wants to recruit qualified and competent applicant on the following job position. Wasasa Microfinance S.C. was established by Oromo Self- Reliance Association (OSRA), a original NGO and got a Microfinancing Business License No. MFI/017/2000 from National Bank of Ethiopia on September 20, 2000. Since then the Company has been working with poor communities( mainly the  pastoral poor) by furnishing savings and credit services; it currently has 51 Branches and 24 pastoral Banks which are operating in 58 Woredas of Oromia Regional State with a plan to expand every year.  

Position 1 Administrative Secretary  

Qualifications required  

• The applicant should have diploma/ BA in Secretarial science and Office Management or related field; and should have at least 8/2 years of applicable work experience.

Required requirement  

• Competence in MS office  

The Administrative Secretary is responsible to provide full secretarial and  executive support service to the General Manager.  

Duty station Head office  

Position 2 Head, General Accounts Division  

Required qualifications  

• Should be a BA/ MBA/ MA in Accounting, Finance and Accounting affiliated fields of study and8/6 years of applicable work experience out of which 3 years in sinior position.  Training Competence in MS office and Accounting package. Certification in IFRS is an advantage  

Specific Duties and Responsibilities  

• Obtains and maintains a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure  

• Ensures the timely reporting of all yearly  fiscal information of the Company  

• Assists the Finance Department manager to support overall department goals and objectives  

• Assists in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the finance department  

Language Proficiency Good command of written and spoken English & Afan Oromo is required  

Duty station Head office; Sebeta, Alemgena
