Position 1 Maintenance Controller  

Skills, Experience & Education  First Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Industrial Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.  The position is structured to report to the separate unit manager and will be responsible for ensuring that the line is always available for production and then produces at the rated speed and perfect quality with minimum waste through optimum maintenance execution.  

Key Duties & Responsibilities  

1. Asset Care  

  • Partaken in the development of the asset care plan for the packaging plant, contributing suggestions, and providing expert advice.  
  • Support the implementation of the asset care plan for the Packaging plant, ensuring the MASs, PAs, and functional teams have the required specialized competencies to execute the plan. 

2. Factory trustability  

  • Responsible for the reliability and uptime of the Packaging plant.  
  • Ensure the execution of maintenance/ extended maintenance work  

3. Plant Optimization

  • estimates the impact of new plant and equipment, and recommends changes.  
  • Have a working understanding of plant operation and associated Work Instructions and/ or procedures.  

4. Team Leadership and Management  

  • Lead the MAS’s team in a manner that engenders ownership, empowerment, and platoon interaction.  
  • Lead the development of MAS’s team goals and ensure these are communicated and understood by team members.  

5. Safety and Housekeeping  

• Ensure that the team members apply proper safety and housekeeping procedures, and adhere to all legal requirements when carrying out their tasks.

Position 2 Electrical Specialist  

Skills, Experience & Education  

First Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years applicable experience in a manufacturing environment. The position is structured to report to the Production Team Leader. The incumbent is responsible for performing planned outfit, and precautionary maintenance and providing 2nd level break-down support, Providing support to the operations team on the line, maintaining health & Safety standards, and Coaching the line process engineers.  

Key Duties & Responsibilities  

  • Works order obtained for all planned activities from maintenance planner/ Team Leader.  
  • All applicable information obtained to conduct activities – eg drawings, manufacturers' homemade, etc.  
  • Spares and tools required are located and obtained.  
  • Jobs prioritized to maximize product quality and plant availability( within a set maintenance schedule).  
  • Permission to stop plant/ process and time required is negotiated with applicable customers.  
  • Feedback provided on time to planner/ Team Leader on deviations to schedule and on work to be completed.  
  • Daily, daily, and shutdown activities are executed according to schedule.  
  • Regularly maintain machinery to ensure high reliability of operation in the process according to set norms.  
  • Plant/ process isolated as per applicable procedures.  
  • Maintenance and repairs were carried out as per the works order meeting all the quality requirements.  
  • Plant/ equipment/ process commissioned after the job and handed over to the customer for approval  
  • Information collated, documented, and feedback provided to applicable customers.

Position 3 Public Affairs and Communications Manager  

Skills, Experience & Education  

  • First Degree in Journalism or English Language and Literature Public Relations or Law or other Business or Social Science field of study.  
  • A minimum of 5 years applicable experience in Public Affairs & Communication and nonsupervisory matters of which three years in a directorial or administrative role.  
  • Strong experience in written and verbal communication.  
  • Sound exposure in government relations and liaison, media relations, commercial social responsibility, and community relations.  

The job holder will be responsible to develop and implement internal and external communication strategies for the organization to ensure that unified, harmonious, and positive messages define and promote the commercial identity and mission. Moreover, he or she will be responsible for monitoring the nonsupervisory landscape and engaging stakeholders to mitigate business risks and threats. The position reports to the Legal Counsel and Public Affairs and Communications Director.  

Key Duties & Responsibilities  

  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build company reputation.  
  • Lead company events and major interventions.  
  • Cultivates and maintain high-level relationships with a variety of stakeholders, representatives as well as other external players.  
  • Manage the company's social media networks. 
  • Support the Legal Counsel and PAC Director in identifying and managing all crucial nonsupervisory threats facing the business.  
  • Monitor public, parochial, and original legislation on an ongoing basis and nonsupervisory requirements and relayed timeously back to the business for proper action.
