The organization’s programs focus on saving lives, building resilience, and addressing inequality, primarily in disaster-prone regions such as Oromia, Amhara, Afar, South Omo, and Gambella.
Position 1: Community Development Facilitator
Number of Positions Required: Two
Type of Contract: Until January 7, 2027
Duty Station: Afar, one position for Erebti Woreda and one for Megale Woreda.

Job Requirements
- Minimum diploma in social science, development studies, sociology, social work, rural development, economics, disaster risk management, or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant field experience, with practical experience using digital data collection tools such as RedRose, RR-Collect, KoboToolbox, or similar platforms being an advantage.
- Experience in MPCA, ESNFI distribution, community mobilization, beneficiary targeting and registration, distribution monitoring, handling complaints and feedback, and field-level reporting.
- Strong communication, facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work respectfully with diverse communities and in challenging field conditions.
- Ability to prepare clear activity updates and reports and to maintain accurate records of beneficiaries and distributions.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of the local operational context is an advantage.
- Proficient in English.
- Fluency in the local language is mandatory.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, gender studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in protection programming, gender-based violence (GBV) response, case management, and psychosocial support in humanitarian settings.
- Strong understanding of protection principles, GBV, and child protection standards.
- Experience in community engagement and capacity building.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
- Proficient in English.
- Fluency in the local language is mandatory.
