Habitat for Humanity Ethiopia (HFHE) is anon-profit organisation, related to Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) headquartered in Atlanta – Georgia (U.S.A), is an ecumenical Christian ministry that welcomes to its work all people dedicated to the cause of eliminating poverty casing. HFHE has handed simple, affordable shelter for over 14,600 families in Ethiopia while also working to improve Water, Sanitation & Hygiene and empower Vulnerable Groups throughout the country. Position 1: Volunteer and Youth Mobilization Specialist  

JOB SUMMARY 

  • As a member of the Volunteer Mobilization team and under the supervision of the Partnership Development and Resource Mobilization Manager, the Volunteer Mobilization Specialist contributes to the achievement of Crossroads’ goal of excellence in  public and  transnational volunteering – including the recruitment, selection, training, support, and recognition of  transnational volunteers in Ethiopia and around the world. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to organizational learning to ensure that Crossroads’ work in the field of volunteering is flexible and effective.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Volunteer Recruitment & Selection 
  • Develop and implement targeted Volunteer reclamation strategies based on reclamation and programmatic periodic  objects. 
  • Develop mapping of implicit business and networks to support the recruitment process. 
  • Develop relationships with organizations, businesses, and institutions for the recruitment of good levies in- line with programmatic  requirements. 
  • Liaise with HFHI including sector specific networks, businesses, schools, colleges, and universities to develop effective partnerships for the recruitment of volunteers.  
  • Volunteer Program 
  • Participate in updating and maintaining information in the Volunteer Tracking System( VTS) and SharePoint so that volunteer records are accurate and the applicable output figures are up to date. 
  • Lead in the preparation, delivery and on- going strengthening of volunteer pre- departure training, individual and group debriefing for the VCP.  

External Relations (10) 

Consistently apply Crossroads’ brand and  crucial messages. 

Work collaboratively with the Communications team members to promote volunteer opportunities. 

  • Participate in applicable networks on behalf of Crossroads. 
  • Represent Crossroads at conferences and other fora. 
  • Duration of the contract 2 years with possibility of extension.

Minimum Required 

  • Minimum Five (5) years related work experience. 
  • University degree in International Relation, social work, project Management, business administration, original in a related field. 
  • In- depth knowledge and experience of international volunteering and/ or applicable experience in adult education or  mortal resource management. 
  • knowledge of successful practices in  transnational volunteering preferred. 
  • former experience working with Volunteer Cooperation Programs preferred

Position 2: Senior Fundraising & Partnership Development Specialist  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Support the development and management of the implementation of an overall fundraising strategy plan. 
  • Identify and track funding prospects as they arise and maintain the applicable tracking tools in collaboration with GFOI and Resource Development 
  • Assist the PDRM Manager in preparing and monitoring grant operations, correspondence, and progress of applications and report updates. 
  • Play a crucial  part in the development and  conservation of HFHE’s database of implicit funders, consultants’ roaster, and partners for funding 
  • Report the progress of core business in terms of funding and  cooperation 
  • Support new and current partnership engagements including identifying and building relationships with prospective  cooperative partners.   
  • Enhance positive and formative relationships with implicit funding and internal and external stakeholders, 
  • Contribute to the efforts in identifying new donors by exploring new funding opportunities from institutional donors. 
  • Conduct donor visits and develop donor mapping and funding action plans. 
  • Support the HFHE’s engagement in active frameworks and consortia, including maintaining connections with other  frame/  colleges actors and coordinating meetings where required.  

Minimum Required 

Bachelor’s degree in development studies, project management, business development, inernational relation and development, economics, business administration. 

At least five years of proven track records of fundraising and partnership experience in anon-profit organization or international organizations. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.  

Skills 

  • Proven experience in external organizational representation. Good research and  logical skills; strong verbal and spoken communication skills, fluent in English both in writing and in speech. 
  • Sense for artistic diversity.

Position 3: Senior DRR3 and Livelihood Specialist  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Identify and track applicable forthcoming funding opportunities, particularly those flowing from ongoing project portfolio – through advanced intelligence gathering, partner relationships, and other available resources. 
  • Organize capacity- building training, education, and promotion of community- based disaster risk reduction measures. 
  • Establish or strengthen community- based disaster management committees so that they can prepare their original context disaster preparedness plans. 
  • Provide specialized assistance to original authorities, original partners, and community members on housing and settlement nonsupervisory issues( policies, codes, and standards; original- level coordination; capacity building of original systems; quality assurance; household- level awareness of risk and safety, and tenure support). 
  • Engage in networking and coordination with humanitarian partners at a civil, indigenous, and original level. 
  • Borrow and use the humanitarian standard tools for assessments (Post Distribution Monitoring, Core Humanitarian Standards) 
  • Conduct prospecting visits to HFHE’s field offices to identify and prepare for forthcoming funding opportunities. Gather and analyze intelligence to inform offer strategy. 
  • Support development and participate in Action Plans for per- solicitation offer preparations and bid planning including partnership building, bid strategy, development of win- themes, oversight of and contribution to specialized design, drafting management and other sections of the offer in advance of the solicitation.  

Livelihood 

Development and implementation of livelihoods assessment tools and approaches. 

Develop livelihood promotion capacities within the program, partners, and at woreda and community levels to protect livelihoods and achieve food security.

  • BA in Rural Development, Economics, DRM, Livelihoods studies Food security. 
  • Seven years of experience in disaster response and resilience  structure project design & development and program management experience, with a focus on DRM-applicable programming. 

Skills 

  • Specialized background in applicable field (Housing, WASH, Public Health) 
  • Knowledge of stylish practices and approaches for project management. 
  • Work experience in emergency response,post-conflict, or early recovery settings.
  • Willingness to travel to the field to support ongoing program portfolio or project( s).
