Position 1: Field Coordinator  

Job Overview 

The Field Coordinator is responsible for handling the overall management of the IRC field office and all program implementation in the Somali region. The position holder serves as the sanctioned IRC representative in the field office, upholding the mission, mandate, and policies of the IRC. He or she will become the focal person for the safety and security of IRC staff and assets at the field office position.  

Job Requirements 

At least 6 years of applicable working experience, including 4 years experience in senior management. 

Strong ability to communicate concisely and with impact. Including being fluent in English and having strong English report-writing skills.   

He or she should be a strong collaborator with effective interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work, handle, and meet grueling deadlines in a fast-paced operating terrain. 

Must have a proven track- record of proactively identifying and communicating implicit problems and proposing solutions. 

Must be suitable to function effectively in a complex work environment to set applicable precedences and deal effectively with competing priorities and pressure. 

Able to handle conflict and disagreeing views.

Position 2: Finance Coordinator( Consortium Project Finance Lead) – Advertisement  

Job Overview – 

IRC is seeking a Finance Coordinator for an anticipated multi-million-euro rapid-fire response project. The Finance fellow will give overall leadership for the financial accounts serve and support the budgeting and reporting function. S/ he will be responsible for icing best-in-class fiscal controls and management for the RRM 2.0  design( with 13 consortium members and other implementing partners) – including capacity building;  enforcing effective & effective processes; improving and ensuring compliance with internal control systems. S/ he will ensure that fiscal requirements and procedures comply with internal policies, donor requirements as well as government laws and policies.  

Educational Requirements – 

Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a closely related field. Master’s degree preferably.  

Preferred experience & skills 

Minimum of 6 years of management experience in an NGO environment, of which at least three years at a middle management level within a finance department. 

Strategic mindset with the ability to lead, inspire, and achieve results in a challenging context. 

Demonstrated directorial, administrative, and leadership skills. 

Expert knowledge, skills, and experience in principles and practices of international accounting and financial management. 

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a different set of stakeholders. 

Strong logical, decision-making, and strategic planning skills with the ability to articulate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner. 

Strong ability to dissect fiscal data including large fiscal data extracts, summarize results, produce reports, and recommend applicable actions. 

Excellent knowledge of and skills in the use of intertwined IT accounting systems 

Excellent verbal and spoken communication skills as well as, an overall ability to be clear and  terse in all communications 

Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven capability to prioritize and deliver on time  

Strong  logical problem-solving skills 

Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic,cross-functional global team structure 

Highly complete in Microsoft Office suite 

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels 

Ability to manage and work through change in a visionary and positive manner.  

Language Skills –  

Strong written/ spoken English is a requirement and Ethiopian National working languages are a plus.
