UNDP works in about 170 countries and territories, supporting partner countries to achieve the eradication of poverty, the reduction of inequalities, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). More specifically, UNDP supports partner countries in developing programs, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities, and building resilience to sustain development results. UNDP has operated in Ethiopia since 1981. Since also, UNDP has also concentrated on providing Ethiopia with strategic support to build public capacity and enhance the country’s development results in the areas of poverty reduction and profitable growth, popular governance, as well as climate-flexible development.
Position Intern: Security (National Applicants Only)
Qualifications Interns are selected on a competitive basis, and the following minimum qualifications are required
Enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (similar to a master’s programme, or advanced), or recently graduated with a first university degree (bachelor’s or original), in social studies, International Relations, Police Science, or a related field, is required and, if selected, must start the internship within one year of graduation.
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme aren't required to have professional work experience. Still, a field of study that's closely related to the type of internship that you're applying for is required.
Ability to work for 6 successive months.
Interest in working on security
Languages: Fluency in oral and spoken English and public language is required. Knowledge of other UN languages is an asset. (written and spoken) Application: The following documents shall be required from the applicants
