The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is an independent organization established in accordance with Article 102 of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Since its establishment, the Board has organized different branch offices in both the civil and indigenous situations, including the two executive cities. The NEBE has conducted five public elections, two original elections, and six referendums.
Since January 2019, to reform NEBE, the House of Peoples’ Representatives enacted a new proclamation that reduced the management board to five members who serve full-time for a period of six years. According to Proclamation no. 1133/2019, the board has the following powers and duties.
Position 1: Data Encoder
Education and Work Experience
• Master's or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting or related administrative fields
• 0 years for a master's or 3 years for BA
• years of experience in data entry or administrative work.

Position 2: Data Encoder Coordinator
Education and Work Experience
• Master's or BA degree in information systems, business administration, computer science, or related fields.
• 5 years for a master's or 7 years for BA
• years of experience in data management or coordination roles.
Number of people required: 2

Position 3: Document Organizer
Education and Work Experience
• BA degree or diploma in office administration, records management, business administration, or related fields.
• 1 year for BA or 3 years for a diploma
• years of experience in documentation or administrative roles.

Position 4: IT Technician (Warehouse Level)
Education and Work Experience
• Master's or BA/BSc degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, ICT Support Services, or related fields.

• years of experience in specialized support or IT operations.

Position 5: Logistics Expert
Education and Work Experience
• Master's or Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management; Business Management; Logistics Management and other related fields
• 5 years for a master's or 7 years for BA
Duty station NEBE Addis Ababa indigenous Office, Addis Ababa
Position 6: Finance Expert
Education and Work Experience
• MA or BA degree in economics, accounting and finance, business management, or a related field.
• 5 years for a master's or 7 years for degree-applicable experience. Know-How (Skills) (Technical Competencies)
• Proficiency in fiscal modeling, data analysis tools, and financial management.
• Strong logical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Ethical mindset with a commitment to transparency, integrity, and responsible fiscal practices.
