Samaritan’s Purse (SP) is a non-denominational, evangelical Christian organization that provides both spiritual and physical assistance to people in need across the globe.
The organization has supported individuals affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine in various regions of Ethiopia.
Position 1: Health & Nutrition Program Manager
Depending on Funding Availability
Open Positions: 2
Contract Duration: December 31, 2026
Education/Experience Required:
• Master’s in Public Health (MPH) or Medical Doctor (MD)
• 3 to 4 years of related experience or training for those with an MPH; or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience for those with an MD
• At least 2 years in clinical leadership
• Experience in health coordination or leadership, preferably in a low-resource setting
• Prior work in a humanitarian setting
Language:
• Proficient in English and Amharic
• Knowledge of the regional language is required..
• Knowledge of any other national language is an advantage.
Skills Required:

Position 2: Medical Doctor

Duty Station: North Wollo/Jara
Education/Experience Required:
• Doctorate degree in medicine from an accredited university; postgraduate degree in internal medicine
• 5 to 6 years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting, preferably in a low-resource environment
Language:
• Proficient in English and Amharic
• Knowledge of the regional language is required.
• Knowledge of any other national language is an advantage.
Skills Required:
To perform this role effectively, the individual must abide by Samaritan’s Purse’s code of conduct and understand the organization’s Statement of Faith.
