The United Nations Office for Project Services (\UNOPS) is a functional arm of the United Nations, supporting the successful implementation of its partners’ peacebuilding, humanitarian, and development projects worldwide. Mandated as a central resource of the United Nations, UNOPS provides sustainable project management, procurement, and infrastructure services to a wide range of governments, donors, and United Nations organizations.  With over  6,000 personnel spread across 80 countries, UNOPS offers its partners the logistical, specialized, and management knowledge they need, where they need it. By implementing around 1,000 projects for our partners at any given time, UNOPS significantly contributes to results on the ground, often in the most grueling environments.  UNOPS ETMCO is recruiting for the position of Administration Officer (Protocol) based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  

Position 1: Administration Intern  

Education/ Experience/ Language requirements  

Education 

To qualify, the candidate should be currently enrolled in a university degree or have graduated from a university degree within the last 3 years at the time of the application. Preferably the candidate is studying or has studied one of the following subjects Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, or a related field. Work experience 

Applicants aren't required to have professional work experience.  

Language 

Fluency in written, reading, and spoken English is required. 

Knowledge of another UN official language is an asset.  

Computer Literacy 

Knowledge & usage of Google suite applications is an asset.

Position 2: Procurement Intern  

Education/ Experience/ Language conditions  

Education 

To qualify, candidates must either be currently enrolled in a university degree program or have graduated within the last three times. Aspirants should be studying or have studied preferably one of the following fields Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

Position 3: ICT Intern

Education 

To qualify, the candidate should be currently enrolled in a university degree or have graduated from a university degree within the last 3 years at the time of the application. Preferably the candidate is studying or has studied one of the following subjects Information Science, Information Technology Computer Science, or related fields.  

Certifications 

MCSE, ITIL, CCNA or Equivalent instruments are added advantages.  

Work Experience 

Applicants aren't required to have professional work experience. 

Knowledge of Computer Networking and HTML5 is an asset.  

Language 

Fluency in writing, reading, and oral English is required. 

Knowledge of another UN Official language is an asset.

Position 4: Human Resources Intern 

Education/ Experience/ Language requirements  

Education 

To qualify, the candidate should be currently enrolled in a university degree or have graduated from a university degree within the last 3 years at the time of the application. Preferably the candidate is studying or has studied one of the following subjects Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related areas.

To qualify, the candidate should be currently enrolled in a university degree or have graduated from a university degree within the last 3 years at the time of the application. Preferably the candidate is studying or has studied one of the following subjects Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Water Engineering, Construction Management, or any other related fields.  

Experience 

Applicants aren't required to have professional work experience.  

Skills 

Knowledge of Architecture and Engineering design software similar to AutoCAD is an added advantage.  

Language 

Fluency in writing, reading, and oral English is required. 

Knowledge of another UN Official language is an asset.
