Wasasa Microfinance has been providing financial services to poor communities since the year 2000. The company now wants to retain good and competent applicants for the following job positions. Wasasa MicrofinanceS.C. was established by Oromo Self- Reliance Association( OSRA), a original NGO and got a Microfinancing Business License No. MFI/017/2000 from the National Bank of Ethiopia on September 20, 2000. Since then the Company has been working with poor communities( mainly the pastoral poor) by providing savings and credit services; it currently has 51 Branches and 24 pastoral Banks which are operating in 58 Woredas of Oromia Regional State with a plan to expand every year.
Position Marketing Expert
Desired Qualifications
The applicant should have a BA/ MA/ MBA in Marketing Management, Economics, or related fields of study; and should have at least 6/4 years of applicable work experience out of which 2 years in an officer position.
Essential requirement
Competence in MS Office The Marketing Expert is responsible for all efforts related to customer needs analysis, new products and services development, attraction and relation of customers as well as conducting market research. She selects sources of information/ data analyzes data and maintains the marketing information and database applicable to make applicable marketing decisions in the areas of product design, channel selection, promotion, and pricing or interest rate setting.
Specific duties
- Performance activities of request research and product development as well as consolidation of plans and reports
- Conducts market surveys and analyses of factual and implicit markets for new or living products or services.
- Monitors profitability and performance of products and services.
- Suggests new products services or areas that need improvement based on market research output.
- Assist in the provision of training to field staff in the areas of marketing.
