Advocacy Center for Democracy & Development( ACDD) is an anon-profit civil society organization established in 2020 and officially registered under the FDRE Authority for Civil Society Organizations( Registration No. 4867). ACDD’s mission is to enhance communal participation, promote governance reforms, and foster popular development in Ethiopia. ACDD is currently seeking a good Communication and Advocacy Intern to assist the digital communication at its head office in Addis Ababa.
Position 1: Communication and Advocacy Intern
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and schedule diurnal content across multiple social media platforms( e.g, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and LinkedIn).
• Managing, following, and maintaining website and social media platforms
• Assist in creating visually charming graphics, videos, and other media using introductory design tools
• Write captions and posts aligned with the organization’s voice and objectives in consultation with the immediate supervisor
• Examiner and respond to comments, dispatches, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Prepare reports on social media analytics, pressing crucial insights and recommendations.
• Stay updated on platform changes and emerging trends in social media.
• Collaboration with the program and other staff, to align social media strategies with broader campaigns.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
Experience
• Fresh graduate
• Familiarity with major social media platforms and introductory graphic design tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Skills

Position 2: Finance & Admin Intern
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the immediate administrator assigned, the Finance and Admin Intern is anticipated to share in the medication of financial reports, dissect factual fiscal data, learn further about Peachtree Software Training, and help with other accounting activities. She will gain experience and learn essential introductory skills by aiding our platoon with accounts outstanding and delinquent, bank reconciliation, and other systems for guests. She will help ensure our records are harmonious with all submitted fiscal statements, and also perform executive duties, similar to data entry and form and others.

• Familiarity with Peachtree or other accounting software
Skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong commitment to learn organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Ability to understand English( both written and spoken); fluency in English is highly desirable.

Position 3: Junior Social Worker
Job Summary
• Under the supervision of the Immediate Supervisor, the Junior Social Worker will provide support to individualities, families, and communities( As needed) by addressing their social, emotional, and profitable challenges. This role involves implementing support programs, enforcing program activities, engaging in assessments, uniting with multidisciplinary teams, and any other activities needed in the program department.
• The Junior Social Worker reports to the Immediate Supervisor assigned and will work closely with program staff to ensure the effective perpetration of activities.
Key Responsibilities
• help in assessing client’s needs and creating personalized care plans.
• give guidance and referrals to applicable community services and resources.
• Follow up on customer progress and acclimate support plans as needed
• Support elderly staff in organizing and easing workshops, support groups, and community activities.
• Assist in executing interventions aimed at addressing specific social challenges and any assigned activities
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, political science, or a related field.
Experience
• 1- 2 years of experience
Skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work with different populations and maintain confidentiality
