Position 1: Senior Grants Manager
Educational Requirements
• A BA degree is required, a Master’s degree in International Affairs, Social Sciences, Accounting, Economics, or STEM (Science, Technology, and Math) is strongly preferred.
Preferred experience & skills
• 4 years of applicable experience for degree holders and 3 years of experience plus post-graduate degree
• Proven track record in managing ECHO-funded projects, with a strong background in multisectoral emergency response and working within consortiums.
• Advanced MS Excel and Math skills required (skills will be tested through an exam)
• Good communication with strong organizational, time management, and logical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, artistic, and political skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
• Strong capacity to mentor and build the capacity of staff.
• Strong computer skills required.
• former successful experience developing projects, writing winning proposals, and donor reports preferred.
• Strong logical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• former experience implementing and/ or managing RRM is a plus.
Language Skills
• complete Amharic and English writing and speaking skills. (The written English skills will be tested through an exam).

Position 2: Project Coordinator – PlayMatters
Educational Requirements
• Advanced degree from an accredited university in education, transnational development, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience managing education programs for refugees or crisis-affected populations.
• Experience managing large- scale,multi-million-dollar, complex,multi-partner projects.
• Experience working alongside government, UN, and other humanitarian actors in development and emergency contexts.
• Demonstrated success in staff capacity-building and participatory, flexible, and gender-sensitive programming and implementation.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Preferred experience & skills
• A positive, helpful attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential. Must be an excellent coordinator and great teammate; this role collaborates across different organizations and the ability to impact associates, frequently without line management is essential.
• Experience in successfully executing presentations, with the ability to develop, implement, facilitate, and impart learning to a wide range of audiences in a creative/ interactive manner.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a fast-paced environment, within and across department functions, and develop positive relationships with locally and remote-based staff
• Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel, train sharing, and database software.
• Experience working in conflict and crisis settings and knowledge of philanthropic programming is preferred.
• Strong supervision, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Experience managing communications and documenting decision-making processes for large systems associations is desirable.
• Exceptional ability to track and manage work planning for large, multi-faceted projects and deliverable timelines. Demonstrated competence to quickly problem-solve planning issues to mitigate delays and support timely delivery.
Language Skills
• Excellent verbal and spoken communication skills in English and Amharic as well as, an overall ability to be clear and terse in all communications.
Certificates or Licenses
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a major plus
