UN-Habitat offers an externship opportunity to support its work in promoting sustainable urbanization and improving human settlements. The intern is expected to get involved in research, analysis, and supporting colorful systems and activities. 
The intern will work under the guidance of the National Program Officer and report regularly on progress and challenges. A work plan will be agreed upon at the beginning of the internship, and regular feedback will be provided to ensure a productive learning experience.

Summary of Requirements 
Education 
 At the time of application, you must meet one of the following 
 a) Enrolled in a graduate school program( Master’s, Ph.D., or original). 
 b) Enrolled in the final year of your Bachelor’s degree. 
 c) Recently graduated with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. 
Specialized Skills 
Computer knowledgeable — strong in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). 
Suitable to create and present PowerPoint slides at workshops and meetings. 
Language Skills 
Strong communication in English is mandatory. 
Knowing Amharic is desirable (profitable but not mandatory). 
Particular Attributes 
Keen interest in the work of the United Nations. 
Particular commitment to UN Charter ideals (peace, dignity, equality, human rights). 
Ability to work with individuals from different artistic backgrounds — open-mindedness, tolerance. 

Research & Analysis Skills 
suitable to induce research briefs, analyze reports, and write reports. 
Excellent research, writing, and logical ability required.

Experience 
No professional experience is required. 
But your field of study must be related to the internship theme. 
Documents Needed 
Proof of current registration or recent graduation. 
You'll need to attach a sanctioned certificate later.
