The European Union supports the efforts of Ethiopia to eradicate poverty, to foster inclusive and sustainable profitable, social and environmental development while promoting mortal rights, democracy, and other elements of good governance.
Development aid further contributes to increased cooperation and dialogue in the main areas of collective interest, as identified in the EU- Ethiopia strategic engagement. Furthermore, European solidarity is being effectively and visibly ensured through rapid-fire help and relief assistance to Ethiopian populations affected by crises.

Selection Criteria
Minimum Requirements
• Medically fit to perform the required duties;
• Enjoys civil rights and permits for employment under original law;
• Bachelor‘s Degree in Migration studies or Forced displacement studies or Political Sciences or Economics or Law.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar position.
• minimal English language competency ability to understand C2, read C2, speak C2 and write C2;
• High level of computer literacy.
• Work experience with International and/ or Political missions and/ or international-Governmental Organisations on forced displacement and creation of economic opportunities, especially for vulnerable population
The following will be considered as an asset
• Master’s Degree in Migration studies Forced displacement studies Political Sciences or Economics or Law
• Minimum of 3 years working experience in a related position if the candidate holds a Master’s Degree.
• Experience in working in a multilateral environment
• former experience in the implementation of EU-funded programmes
• Knowledge of Amharic
• Knowledge of French
Place of Employment Delegation of the European Union to Ethiopia – Addis Ababa
Employment Contract Fixed term – 5 years after the probation period( 60 days)
Working hours week 37.5
Salary Group I – with a starting introductory salary of 2.595 EUR/ month( outstanding equivalent in Ethiopian Birr).

The procedure
After the deadline for applications, the functions will probably be reviewed by a Selection Committee arranged for this goal. The Selection Committee will prepare a shortlist of candidates who are thought to be the most applicable for the submission on the idea of a primary evaluation of the information handed in their utility letter and the supporting documents.
The short-listed candidates will be invited to an evaluation phase, which is suitable to embody a written check and an interview – throughout this part, the Selection Committee will assess the felicity of the candidates for the submission.
The candidates who haven't been short-listed won't be contacted individually.
